Third stay at Nikki and Peter’s lovely villa in Pissouri. The location is perfect – shortest of strolls to the restaurants and the beach – and the villa is in excellent condition, being equipped with every creature comfort.
There is lots of space, inside and out, including full-sized dining tables both indoors and outside on the patio. The sun beds are very comfortable and can be positioned either in full sun, part sun or full shade. The location is quiet and the villa is well detached from its neighbours.
Good wi-fi is included in addition to a modern TV system with a huge range of movies and channels to select from, including catch-up TV. The beds are comfortable, there is plenty of hot water and two modern bathrooms. There are two sets of double patio doors on the ground floor which can be left open to provide a cooling air flow during the day and excellent air conditioning, both upstairs and down, for the balmy night times.
There is a large BBQ and a fully-equipped kitchen and utility, although we ate out every evening, never needing to take the car as there are half a dozen restaurants within 5 minutes’ walk. There are two mini markets near the restaurants and a larger supermarket within 10 mins drive.
Pissouri Beach is delightful – not greatly changed from when we first discovered it in the mid-90s – with safe swimming, water sports for rent and plenty of places for a coffee, lunch or a drink, all with great views.
There is a local manager available in case of problems, but we had none. The pool guy visits twice weekly and the pool, just like the villa, is very clean.
Favs: Cafe Bar to eat and the drive to Latchi & Polis for a day out. That said, as the holiday progressed we did not feel the need to stray far from the lovely pool and garden.
Would you recommend us to friends and family? Yes. Without reservation.
It is an absolute pleasure to welcome such appreciative guests back for another stay. Thanks Andy and Helen for the lovely comments. It’s good to know you had the chance to visit so many local restaurants – particularly towards the end of a unique and challenging season. Hope to see you back in 2022!
